The Middleholding Deck
Threshold
Middleholding lives quietly in the Fruit Belt of Michigan, shaped by sandy soils, gentle slopes, and a curiosity about what a piece of land can hold and remember. We are Adam and Sarah, stewards and dreamers, tending native plantings, paths, orchards, and garden beds.
Our guiding principles are simple. Beauty. Protection. Vitality.
This space will trace the small ripples of our work. Sometimes it will be an image of the orchard, a pollinator mid-flight, or dew settling on a leaf. Other times it will be a card from our Deck, a glimpse of the questions we ask the land and ourselves.
Much will remain unseen, kept like a garden behind its gate. What will appear here are reflections, the tastes and labors of harvest, moments of a cycle completed.
Consider this Substack a threshold. Take your boots off, step in, and you may catch the whisper of a place where stewardship, imagination, and daily practice converge.
